The Ladies Auxiliary was formed in 1951 with Mrs. Nancy Herbert serving as the first president holding their first meeting in the fire hall. From 1951 to the present our Auxiliary remains to this day an intricate part of the organization. From assisting at fires and emergencies, to spending long hours fundraising, their contributions are invaluable. Through Auxiliary fundraisers and assistance at Fire Co. fundraisers, we provide financial assistance to enable the Fire Company to purchase equipment and supplies so they can continue to provide emergency services to our community. Currently this year we have an active Auxiliary with over 45 members. Membership is open to any person who is at least 18 years of age and resides in the Silverton Section of Dover Township. |
